Omotayo takes lessons from Nigeria’s Table Tennis Team world cup outing

Nigeria national table tennis team player and All Africa games Gold medalist Olajide Omotayo has stated that though Nigeria couldn’t qualify out of her world cup group in Japan  following another defeat to Chinese Taipei after having lost two days ago to China PR, the world cup for him will serve him good memories.

Omotayo speaking in a chat with brila.net said the experience was special playing at that level for himself and Azeez Solanke who made his senior tournament bow at the world stage.
He added that the push to pick a ticket to the Tokyo 2020 table tennis team event ticket will continue.
“In the group stage,  we were unable to qualify we had Team China and Team Chinese Taipei, it was a good outing for us, good experience for me and for also Azeez Solanke he is young like me.
I know with time we will get there, we just need to attend more tournament and keep practising hard and keep hoping for the best.”
